A tribute to pastor tim James January 11, 1964 to December 2, 2012
Timothy
Lee James was born to Bill and Shirley on January 11, 1964 in Hayward
CA and lived there for 11 years with his parents and brothers, Tom and
Willy. The family moved to Oakland CA and lived there for 10 years. He
attended Shiloh Christian Academy. At Shiloh, he excelled in basketball;
he ate, drank and slept basketball. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age, and was baptized in 1970, He and his brother Tom played church all the time. From an early age, his parent’s saw the gifting God had given him. They saw the call of a prophet, and the heart of a Pastor began to grow in him. He never liked strife; he was a peacemaker, a gentle man that loved God’s people. He loved listening to the word of God, he would listen to teaching tapes over and over.Tim was an elder for many years at New Life Christian Church, He love the mission field, traveling to different countries was a joy for him. His last trip was in November 2012 , him and his Dad went to graduate the Pastors in Uganda , They both loved traveling to Uganda and working with their family- their Son and Brother Pastor Fred Sekyewa , and Rebecca his wife. Joyce, Joel, Joselyne and Jotham became his nieces and nephew, He was Uncle Tim. Tim
at the age 15, worked alongside his father in the family business, and
In his early 20's, Tim took over his dad's business touching up and
repairing piano’s. He had the respect and friendship of those he worked
with and for ,he, honored God in all he did with integrity. They all
knew his love for God. Tim is the Father of Kristen and Kaitlin whom he loved dearly, he was
proud of his girls , they were always a delight to him, he would say he
was a blessed man to have such beautiful and sweet girls, ones that
love the Lord. Tim married the love of his life in 2007, Sheri Ann Luque and was blessed with 4 more daughters Melissa, Monica, Morgan and Jessica along with a new son-in-law Nick, Melissa’s husband. Now the proud parents of 6 girls and a son-in-law Nick they became a family, not long after came his second son-in-law Clayton, who married Monica. He thanked the Lord for such a blessing. His Dad had the honor of performing the marriage for them. Tim gave each girl and his bride Sheri a very special necklace that day letting them know it was a journey for them all to be a family and how much he loved them; it was a wonderful time in the presence of God. Tim and Sheri were ordained as Pastors of Living In fellowship Today ( L.I.F.T Ministries ) on March 23, 2012, a ministry started in 1997 by his Parents pastors Bill and Shirley James and Cindy Lewis. Tim loved the Lord and wanted to see God’s people walk in their calling, He said “this lets not stick people into our passion, but into their calling.” He wanted to share the love of Jesus Christ with all men, women and children everywhere.We miss our beloved , he is with his Lord and Savior now , we will cherish all our moments together with him, He would truly speak these words to us and encourage us to live everyday for Jesus, to love, to forgive, to run our race, you are a champion, you can do it. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing" 2 Tim 4:7-8 |
